i want it to be spring.

one of my cousins sent me a big beautiful box filled with food goodies from louisiana. last night i made the 10 bean cajun soup and it was so yummy. it was perfect for this chilly drizzly so called spring.

i have been working on some new flowers (they are up now) and i was calling them trash flowers but alison called them rag flowers so i might change the name.

today we had some of our friends over for brunch. i made figs stuffed with a goat cheese, chive and pistachio mix, chocolate/pistachio phyllo rolls, coffee cake muffins, wilted spinach salad, and a cheese and leek bread pudding. The bread pudding was really yummy. The wilted spinach salad was more like sauteed (it was still tasty) and everything else was pretty good. We also had bloody marys.

now it is back to the flower making!

i have been working on some new stuff for next fall...



and after some protest for lack of a picture here is the new do and a before. cutting off long hair is very liberating. i almost went for a pixie cut but maintaining it would have been trouble.

bad bad bad nasty weather. boooo.

i had a haircut today - now it is very short - i donated my ponytail to Locks of Love

the new and improved supermaggie is up and hopefully running without any probelms. we have added a FAQ section, t-shirts, and lots of other new stuff. we still have a few things to touch up but it is pretty much done!

i made chocolate bread last night with the bread machine - all the chocolate chips disappeared... i also made white bread and raisin bread. now i am out of flour and yeast so i will have to stop.

yesterday i went to the new whole foods flagship store at columbus circle. it was a total zoo - so many crazy people and very slow, confused tourists. the weather was really nice - 58 degrees i think - i didn't have to wear a scarf!

we are almost done with the new supermaggie site - it has taken a bit longer then we thought it would - details details....

we got a bread machine - i made two loaves of bread yesterday - whole wheat and banana honey whole wheat - yummy - no atkins for me!

we are supposed to relaunch supermaggie on monday - i think we will get it done on time - the t-shirts will be up - there will be three or four styles with felt (craft felt not handmade felt) applique. you will be able to select sizes on the wristbands too.

i have been overindulging in chocolate - i think i may be temporarily over chocolate - is that possible?

has it been that long?

i married michael on december 27th in baton rouge, LA at my parents house (i am not changing my name and he is not changing his) it was wonderful! thank you so much to everybody for everything.

i have been working on some new flowers for spring and i ordered a silk screen printing kit - i already have a bunch of tshirts from american apparel....

last night i made potato leek soup and biscuits - yummy, same thing for tonight plus a beer or two. the weather here is horrible - cold cold cold cold - i need a better coat.

tonight for thanksgiving supper we had butternut squash baked with onions and a bit of olive oil, mashed potatoes, sweet peas, apple/sweet potato cobbler, bread and beer and banana bread.

now it is back to the scarf and flower making...

crazy wind tonight - ben and jerry's mint chocolate cookie ice cream is pretty good. michael made artichoke tomato pasta tonight - it was yummy.

it is cold outside - i don't like the cold. Michael is making chard and potato soup for supper.

I love chocolate croissants...

all i do these days is make scarves and flowers - that's good for me but bad for my blog.

we have an hour left at Shecky's - it's okay but not great - we have broken even plus cab fare and maybe dinner....

today for lunch i had a chile verde burrito. the weather is beautiful - it's perfect outside.

thursday is shecky's "girls night out" 2000 women, an open bar and 55 vendors - supermaggie is a vendor - i am slightly frightened

tonight for supper i had a salad, cantalope and corn. last night michael made eggplant - chickpea stew it was yummy.

i had another grill cheese for supper tonight. i've been having them a lot lately. last night i had a salad with tomatos and apples, corn on the cob and biscuits with honey. i love biscuits with honey, but only right after they come out the oven - they just aren't the same the next day.

we have power!
