louisiana was nice - it was hot and sunny. i worked in my parents yard - planted flowers - it was nice. unfortunately, baton rouge is turning into a giant strip mall. my favorite coffee shop from high school is going to be bulldozed to make way for a super-walmart. it makes me sick.

i haven't cooked anything interesting lately - maybe when i get back from my trip...
i am going to louisiana for a few days.


this is a painting that i reworked - it is a little too easy but i still like it. the black spots are pom poms.

last night i made another pizza. today i am baking lemon squares and they smell really good.

today i went to chelsea to look at art and to century 21(the department store) to buy towels. there was a nice show of ashley prine's paintings at clementine gallery i think the show closes april 19th. i bought new towels and a "mini maglite" at century 21. the security experts recommend carrying a flashlight with you at all times, so if something goes bad you will be able to find your way out. i don't know... but now i have one.

also i am busy getting supermaggie ready for the new felt flowers.

but i still had time to make food. friday i made chard and potato soup with parmesean. today i made chocolate chip sweet buns. the soup was good but the buns were only so so...

these are felt flowers i made that i am going to make into pins and brooches - i hope to have them ready for sale by the middle of april...
